Trip to Dallas & Halloween

We made it back from Dallas yesterday and the trip went really well. Sophia's cast was removed, and now her hand just has some healing left to do. She still has a pretty big scab on the top side of her hand from the horse stepping on it, so we have to keep it loosely covered with a wrap to keep it from catching on anything. It should be gone within a few weeks, and then we get to start working on scar management (lucky for her, momma's on OT!) She's still guarding her hand some, but beginning to use it more each day. Her thumb is a little weak, but that's to be expected. We have to go back in about 6 months for follow-up x-rays to see if the bone is growing. They told us that they feel like her right thumb may never grow as it is supposed to since the growth plate was involved, but we're praying for God's healing in her hand! He's way bigger than any of our circumstances, and we're trusting in Him for her complete healing!

Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children is amazing. This is just one of the hundreds of fun things there......a train set that went around with the push of a button.

We got to visit with Chris and Nikki (OT classmate) and meet their twins, Ella and Hayden. They are cutie-patooties!

We made it back into town around 5pm, and headed to church at 6pm for Hallelujah Night. As you can see, we had a Pippy Longstocing and a plump chicken!

Grayer was so awkward to hold, we put him in the stroller. Poor baby....he was a cooked chicken after about an hour that costume was so warm.

And here's our cute Pippy. People kept asking me, "is that her real hair?". Yes, it was, with pipe cleaners running in her braids to make it stand out.
