May was a crazy busy month with school and dance ending, and we could almost taste summer it was so close! The kids started spending time in the pool as soon as it was hot enough and we knew we would enjoy alot of summer nights outside swimming. We started out in the hot tub alot but it didn't take long for the pool to heat up once the nights started staying warm!
Harper had her first own ice cream cone and of course she loved it! She associates Nonnie's house with ice cream....in fact when we pull up her driveway she often says "nonnie i team"!
Harper's hair was finally getting long enough to do something with...and ponies look so darn cute in her hair!
I find pictures on my phone after Sophia has had it...they are usually pretty funny. She loves taking selfies and videos. They're entertaining.
Shelby turned 21 and we celebrated with a birthday dinner at Yellow Brix!
Grayer's class end of the year program- he is such a confident boy and we are so proud of him. He did awesome his kindergarten year and far surpassed anything we could have expected!
Last few days of being a Garza gator
Sophia's dance recital was amazing! She danced in the Friday night show this year. She plans to dance on the competitive teams next season. We are so proud of her. She loves the stage!
Just soaking in a beautiful night outside by the pool...and capturing some snarly nose faces
Sophia racked up the awards the last 6 weeks of school! She got the character counts award for caring and also straight A's. She was also awarded the Principal's award for being an outstanding student. On to 4th grade!
The last day of school this year was so strange! The high was 50ish and it was rainy and cold. It didn't feel like the beginning of summer one bit. We played dress up at Nonnie's! Good thing cold weather doesn't stick long in the summer...by the next few days it was hot again and very much summertime.
Grayer attended Little Cavemen Baseball Camp at the end of May right when school ended. He was awarded Golden Bat for his age division for best hitter with most power and contact!
Sean and I got to head to Ruidoso for a night away for our 14th anniversary! We went right at the beginning of June. I love him more now than when we got married. It was so good to have a little break from life and routine with kids. We need it more often!
