Harper has reached so many milestones and is doing so many new things I need to get it written down! She's been walking for awhile now...since right after her first birthday or so. She is a climber. She's finally figured out how to get onto and off of the couch. She goes up our stairs and is figuring out how to go down. She turns around backwards to go down the few steps we have outside. She can put the plastic coins into her piggy bank with good control now. She loves to look at books! One of her favorite ones is her "pop" book with the buttons that push in and out and make noise. She asks for her "bow bea" book sometimes, which is Brown Bear Brown Bear what do you see? She is talking a lot these days. Things she has either imitated or said on her own are:
-moo for the cow
-woof for what a dog says
-calls Mable "bull"
-dog nextdoor is "boo"
-mommy
-daddy
-pee (for sophia)
-drer (Grayer)
-nack for snack
-bullet (for nerf bullets)
-ball
-tash (trash)
-nonnie
-poppie
-nana
-papa
-bird
-chees (for "cheers")
-mee (mickey)
-bath
-bubbles
-cheese
-apples
-abby
-emmy
-pool
She points to and says eyes, nose, ears, and teeth. She likes to comb our hair with the brush. She can go throw away trash when we ask her to, and she is starting to understand what we mean when we ask her if she's gone potty in her diaper. She has started hiding to poop her diaper! She likes to go under the table. She is obsessed with Mable and loves on her all the time. She would be outside 24/7 if we would let her, and she points to outside and cries to go out during the day. She is quite the explorer. Her favorite drawers to tear apart are the paper goods drawer and the kids craft supply drawer. She is transitioning slowly from 2 naps to 1. Some days it's still 2, other days it's just a single nap if she's slept until 7am or so. She hates to have her diaper changed....it's like war sometimes! She loves to carry things around. As much as she can handle in her little hands. She will grab 4-5 bullets and tote them around, or 3-4 pieces of puffs or food. She doesn't even eat it, she just likes carrying it around. We go for walks almost daily, and I run pushing her in the jogger alot. She tolerates it pretty well but sometimes we have to bribe her in with a dum dum sucker. There are worse things! She is funny and likes to make the kids laugh. She loves for them to play with her. She cries for Sophia in fact, and often prefers her over us these days. It's been so fun to watch another little person blossom in front of us. These days go by so fast. Trying to treasure each one.
