I am trying to get caught up on this....there is just so much! In October Grayer received the character counts award from the music teacher at ECEC. Which was a BIG deal because she was choosing out of all 500something students. Grayer got so embarrassed to go up front poor guy was all tears until Mrs. Garza finally told him to go sit back down. He has such a tender heart and funny personality sometimes.
Sophia got A/B honor roll the first 6 weeks!
Homecoming parade is always fun to go to. We left Dad behind with Harps and I took the big kids.
Did a side by side of Sean and Harper to realize that HOLY COW she looks so much like him! Her little mouth and face shape and everything. She is Baby Chon:)
We took the kids to a new pumpkin patch that opened up between here and Artesia. It has alot of growing to do but was better than the one we've had here for the past few years. We did get to ride on a tractor hay ride out to the fields and pick a pumpkin. We went on a crazy windy day, but other than that it was fun.
By this point Harper was almost 10 months old and pulling up to everything. She had started to really crawl instead of army crawl!
Sometimes I look at Sophia and am blown away at how beautiful she is. She is kind and thoughtful. She leaves notes on my bed every night before I go to bed. Her love language must be words of affirmation. She loves to hear and read good things about herself, and loves to give that in return. She is navigating being a 3rd grader and all that entails. We are trying to teach her to be her own girl!
Fall soccer wrapped up and Grayer had a decent season. We won some and lost some and that's ok.
Harper came down with her first bout of fever. It lasted 72 hours and was long with a lot of time at home. She was happy with medicine in her system, and tired and cranky without. She ended up with the roseola rash after her fever broke.
Smiles from my feverish girl
The last week of October we had Halloween festivities. The kids had parties, we took them to a carnival at St Edwards the week before, and then the night of we went to our church carnival, one at Church St Nazarene and then Sean took the older kids trick or treating a bit around our house while I put Harper to bed. We dressed as the Lego Family this year! Harper's Kraggle outfit I made was my favorite part.
