We celebrated our Grayer's 6th birthday a little early since we would be gone to San Diego on his actual birthday. He wanted a few buddies to stay the night, so that's what we did! He asked for a Lego theme, so we made a lego cake and he ended up with a lot of new Lego sets! As Grayer turns 6, I am reminded how quickly time goes. Seems like just yesterday HE was the new baby in the house. He is such a funny kid. He keeps us laughing all the time, loves to make up stories (most not true), and makes faces and gestures like his dad. He's solid as a rock, and loves soccer and t-ball. He could build Legos for hours on end, and he loves to jump on the trampoline with Sophia. His favorite foods are pizza Goldfish, salad, beef jerky, peanut butter sandwiches, oreos......
Here is the birthday boy....
Grayer with his buddy Tayden
These two fellas stayed over for the night....Jonah and Brayden. They had a blast!
Practicing with one of his new hitting toys. I have a picture of Sean swinging a bat in high school and Grayer looks almost identical to him here. He's built just like his daddy.
All tucked into sleeping bags and ready to watch a movie.
Grayer REALLY wanted a skateboard for his birthday. We were surprised at how well he did on it with the first try. He adds so much to our lives. So thankful he's the middle child and he's a boy. I think he balances us out! He is loving and a good friend to Sophia, and gentle and sweet with Harper. He still gives his momma kisses on the lips, and he loves to wrestle and be held by his dad. His knock knock jokes make absolutely no sense, but he loves to tell them anyways. He makes up stories and then admits that maybe it was made up. He makes friends with adults easily and even tries to rope them into spoiling him. Example....he was at Nonnie's house one day and saw the neighbor Carla. He says to her..."hey Carla, you look like someone who needs some grandkids to spoil." She says "yes, Grayer, I would love that". He said "I'll come down and pick up your dog poop for $5." She says "That sounds like a good deal. I will pay you $5 to come down here and clean up the dog poop." He responds..."well some people are willing to pay me $10..." Haha! He's recently learned what the term negotation means. He is a determined negotiator most of the time:) This will come in handy down the road....I'm sure of it.
Happy 6th Birthday, Buddy. We love you to the moon and back!
