It's May Crazy

Can I just say that May is a crazy month for us?? Probably everyone else too.....but we have had something to do every single weekend this month so far. We are beyond excited that next week is the last week of school and we leave for vacation next weekend!! Sean and I decided that we are the type of people that require downtime...and don't like to feel busy all the time.
I love this super sweet picture of Sophia one morning before school. She has had such a great year of kindergarten. We are blessed that we haven't had one single day where she fought us about going to school or didn't want to go. She has loved every minute of it, even though if asked whether she would rather be at school or home with mom she still chooses home with mom:)
Grayer and Abby waiting at the dance studio one day for the girls to finish up a class. I think they look like they could pass for siblings! It's those dark eyes and similar smiles.

Sophia brought home a worksheet with a ladybug titled "What Bugs Me". I flipped to the second page and this is what I found. In case you can't read it, it says (in her writing/spelling) "It bugs me wen my bother olws gets my speshle stuf under my bed. Sophia". Translation= she doesn't like it when he always digs under her bed and gets her "special stuff". Ha! Her bed is scary underneath. There's no telling what's living under there. She crams all sorts of things under there, apparently things she deems "special"! The picture is supposed to be her bed with her S sign hanging over it.

Mrs. Garza gives Sophia's class free writing opportunities on the backs of their papers. She brought this one home one day. She prayed for rain and likes jewels! Random and so sweet!

Dance Recital time for Cheryl's School of Dance- Emmy and Sophia backstage during one of the dress rehearsals

All ready for her dance recital- makeup and all! She loved that part if you can imagine that!

A sweet moment waiting in the hall before going on stage

Flowers and goodies after she was all done! Sophia has really blossoomed into quite a good little dancer. When I think of her and watch her, I think of the scripture "train up a child in the way he is bent, and when he is old he will not depart from it". She is bent towards dance, that much is sure. We hope to foster and encourage that creativity in her in a healthy way. She's got a gift!

There could be lots of changes for us coming soon. Our house is hopefully going to sell soon and we will be moving into temporary housing for awhile while we build another house. This time hopefully it will be the house we stay in for a long time. But we never know what God has in store for us! His plans are higher than ours, so we rest in Him and TRUST!!!
