First Things

The last few weeks have been a whirlwind of firsts for Grayer. He had his first holiday - 4th of July (which I didn't get a single picture from), his first smiles, first trip to church, first tummy time, and first bath in the baby tub (once his cord fell off....finally at 3 weeks). Sophia's favorite thing to do is hold Grayer, sucking her thumb while rubbing his ear. I don't know why she does this, but the poor baby is going to have a raw ear before long! Sean thinks she's going to be an ENT someday, since she loves ears. Grayer is a super sweet baby. He's content most of the time, is a great eater, and is sleeping better at night. He fits just perfectly into our little family.

a first for Sophia - painting with real paints (not just the kind that show up on special paper)
one of his first smiles - he's looking at Sophia here
after his bath - he really likes the warm water
one month old - getting some definite rolls
Sophia loves to make us laugh. She is into making silly faces. The other day she tried to give Grayer a Cheese Nip cracker. We've had to explain that he only gets momma's milk, but she doesn't quite get it. She sort of smothers him (in a sweet way), but we've had to take away her stools for awhile that she uses to reach him (since she's on the short side like her mommy). When I found her trying to hoist herself into the pack-n-play where Grayer was napping, I knew it was time to put the chairs and stools on a break!
We had a meet and greet shower for Grayer and me at Aunt Kerri's house. Grayer's little outfit said "handsome" on the front. He is a cutie....that's for sure.
First family pic of all 4 of us - I can't believe it's taken a month to do this. What was I thinking??
First tummy time with Sophia helping out
My precious babies
Sophia requested that we swaddle her in Grayer's new big blanket. Then she asked us to hold her like a baby. She may be regressing just a bit!! Actually, she's been so great since he's been home - she's not jealous and she's nice to him, so what more could we ask for?

Love the pics! My favorite one is the two of them together (my babies) - absolutely precious!
